It has been a long time since i last posted an entry here. Yes, 2006 is coming to an end in SIX weeks time which means that 2007 is coming. Duh. Yeah. Currently, we have SIXTEEN people in our section. Out of the SIXTEEN, how many will be leaving after April? FIVE. The majority of the section is made up of the GOING-TO-BE SECTHREES and TWOS. Definitely, there will be new SEC ONES coming in too. But my point is, really! Please practise hard. Don't let us, the seniors, to nag at you. Sometimes, we are kind of tired. But we don't really show it. Yes, next year is SYF. I don't even know if i'm allowed to participate in it. I really hope the majority would really practise hard enough and not to disappoint the band and the seniors. Although i know that i'm in no position to say about my attendance. But i hope that everyone would attend band regularly. I'm sure you know Me and Farah cannot come to band that often. Yep, like the previous entry has said. We've gotten a new mouth piece. It's very expensive. Two times more than the previous mouthpiece. Handle it with care alright?

Finally! I also hope that you all would study hard alright? If there's any holiday homework, do it! Haha. Yes.
AND!!! Congrats to SHANRONG for being promoted to SEC THREE EXPRESS. And the rest, work hard! Especially the FIVE of us. Next year is our MAJOR EXAM. :)

these are the notes for the scores ..

- Blue Ridge Saga

• 1st four bars, 1st 2nd 3rd are separated.. then 1st need to play out more. and take note of the intonation.
• 4 bars after 9, do the crescendo and decrescendo.
• bar 21 to 37, do all those articulation properly.
• 4 bars before 37, do that crescendo. p <> f
• 3 bars after 37, the soli.. 1st 2 notes, do the staccato shorter and lightly. (same goes to 7 bars after 41)
• from 1 bar before 57, spot the different level of volume need to be crescendo.
• bar 95, soli.. play it with feelings.
• 4 bars before 103, do the " < > "
• 4 bars before 119, do the " < > " too.
• bar 192, the 2 semiquavers play it out.
• bar 200, express it.
• 4 bars before 208, do every " < >< > "
• last 2 bars, " sfzp <> " do it!

- Les Arrivee des cammioneuas

• from bar B, do emphasize on every 2nd note! pretend there's a decrescendo.
• 8 bars of B, the 2 quavers. play it on time, strong, loud and together.
• 1 bar before C, the 3 sets of triplets. play it nicely and on time. don't rush or slow down. intonation wise!
• 9 bars of C, the 2 high notes. don't play too loud!
• 6 bars before D, the 3 sets of triplets. be on time and the last note play longer, end nicely.
• 5 bars before D, some notes there's accent, do it!
• 2 bars before D, the trill, no need to be too loud.
• bar 8 of D, do the quavers properly. after that 2 quavers, do the 3 quavers and crotchet nicely. intonation too.
• 1 bar after E, remember to count the rest and start play!
• from 4 bars before J, do every accented notes.

- Yellow Mountains

• play everything with FEELINGS! (:

• 1st four bars, play it softly.
• ' con moto ' do the crescendo.. look at mr lim!
• 2 bars before A, 2nds and 3rds play your crotchet or quavers stronger but soft.
• bar B, 2nds and 3rds play out more to support the 1st. hold every 3 beats properly!
• bar C, 2nds and 3rds play out more too to support the 1st.. hold the 4 beats full! intonation for 1st.
• 4 bars of C, take note of the last note. is CROTCHET! then the next bar, it's QUAVER rest!
• 4 bars after D, it's mp!!
• 6 bars after D, only 1st having the moving notes. and everyone have crescendo at 8 bars after D, do it. even if your's is long note! support the 1st. have balance.
• 4 bars before E, do get the rhythm correctly!
• 2 bars before E, do the crescendo within 2 bars!!! mf - f !!
• 2 bars after F, play the semiquavers properly! on time!! COUNT!
• 4 bars before G, although is ff , don't blast out!! intonation too.
• G, take note of the intonation too.
• 4 bars after G, do the decrescendo.

as what valerie tagged at the tagboard, we're getting lazy!
so practice hard for the exchange before KL trip and the concerts for KL trip!
sec 1s, try whatever you all can. don't give up! just try, try and try and try!! not only your all playing skills, remember about all your intonation all that. can? (:
for those who skipped most of the practices, you know who you are.
about 1 more month, sec 1s are seniors ler! better buck up! work hard.. ((:
